Online Counselling for Teens & Adults on Salt Spring Island and the Southern Gulf Islands
Neurodivergent-affirming, relational support for adults and teens in transition, grief, or overwhelm
DYLAN SPRADLIN, MA, MSW, RCC (they/them)
I provide online counselling for teens and adults on Salt Spring Island and throughout the Southern Gulf Islands, with a focus on grief, neurodivergence, life transitions, overwhelm, and deeper relational work.
Living on an island can offer beauty, quiet, and community — and it can also mean fewer options when you are looking for a therapist who feels like the right fit. Online counselling makes it possible to access consistent support without ferry travel or needing to build your schedule around limited local services.
Therapy for Adults
I work with adults who may be grieving, burned out, navigating significant change, or beginning to understand themselves through the lens of ADHD, autism, or AuDHD.
Many of the adults I work with have spent years adapting, coping, and carrying a great deal internally. Therapy can be a place to slow down, understand long-standing patterns, and listen more closely to what your nervous system and emotions are communicating.
My work often includes grief and loss, neurodivergent burnout, identity, relationships, life transitions, chronic overwhelm, and the impact of earlier relational experiences.
I also work with teens who may be dealing with anxiety, school stress, overwhelm, masking, identity questions, friendship challenges, or the pressure of trying to keep up.
My approach with teens is collaborative and relational. Rather than treating them as a problem to be fixed, I help them better understand their emotions, nervous system, needs, relationships, and sense of self.
For older teens, online therapy can also offer more autonomy and the comfort of meeting from a familiar space.
Counselling for Teens
Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapy
For teens and adults recognizing ADHD, autism, or AuDHD later in life, therapy can bring both relief and re-evaluation.
We may explore masking, sensory needs, burnout, executive functioning, relationships, identity, and what actually supports your nervous system rather than focusing on making you function more like everyone else. And we can do this making your interests, and humor a priority.
Online for Salt Spring and the Southern Gulf Islands
I work virtually with clients on Salt Spring Island and throughout the Southern Gulf Islands, including Mayne, Galiano, Saturna, Pender, and nearby island communities.
Online therapy can be especially useful in smaller communities where privacy, travel, weather, ferry schedules, or limited local options can make accessing consistent counselling more complicated.
If you are looking for therapy for grief, neurodivergence, life transitions, burnout, or deeper emotional work, you are welcome to reach out and see whether my approach feels like a good fit.
